Dungeonborne: Best Rogue Builds For Solo and Groups

You were born in the shadows, molded by it

Slink from the shadows, wield daggers that poison and petrify, and just be a slippery stinker the whole time—you are the Rogue, and people will fear you. If you don’t bleed your prey dry, the poison will do the work. Rogues are also quite effective with crossbows, given that your abilities also benefit ranged attacks. It’s a solid class and kit all-around and innately deadly, but it’s still wise to use the best Rogue build, no matter if you’re going solo or grouping in Dungeonborne.

Rogues have awesome damage built right into their kit, thanks to Dexterity. Since you’re pumping that stat anyway, it grants more critical strike damage, and you get even more when you’re in stealth. If that first hit that breaks stealth is a critical strike, may the gods have mercy on the poor soul who feels it.

PassivesEffect
Stealthbreak Venom (requires 29 Strength)While in Stealth, unblocked attacks apply Poison, dealing 25 damage every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds.
Toxic Cloak (requires 36 Stamina)When Quick Blades/Petrifying Poison activates, enter Stealth.
Featherfoot (requires 93 Dexterity)Entering Stealth increases movement speed by 200, decaying over 5 seconds.
SkillsEffect
Petrifying Poison (Q skill)Coasts melee or ranged weapon with poison. The next attack petrifies them. They are immobile, but the damage they take is reduced by 100%. If you attack them while petrified, it’s removed.
Swift Concealment (E skill)Immediately enter Stealth for 6 seconds, critical damage is increased during Stealth.

Having Stealthbreak Venom will add a really nice boost to your damage, as you come out of stealth. It’ll deal a total of 150 damage of the course of its duration, which stacks pretty nicely with your fast melee attacks and the frequent critical strikes.

Petrifying Poison is also an excellent solo skill because it lets you immediately disengage any fight. Being a squishy Rogue, that’s like a get-out-of-jail-free card, especially if you have the Toxic Cloak passive unlocked, which grants you Stealth after you activate Petrifying Poison.

Although Swift Concealment is arguably the better option, given its immediate cast, Vanish is still a viable option if you want to stay in stealth longer. Just keep in mind it has a 3-second channel.

In groups, the Rogue doesn’t change too drastically, but you do have the option to take on a more ranged role. The critical strike damage you gain from stealth also applies to crossbows, as do abilities like Petrifying Poison, which can immediately turn a 3v3 into a 3v2. Unfortunately, Rogues don’t offer much else in groups.

PassivesEffect
Stealthbreak Venom (requires 29 Strength)While in Stealth, unblocked attacks apply Poison, dealing 25 damage every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds.
Evaporate (requires 62 Dexterity)Enter Stealth after killing an enemy.
Toxic Cloak (requires 36 Stamina)When Quick Blades/Petrifying Poison activates, enter Stealth.
SkillsEffect
Petrifying Poison (Q skill)Coasts melee or ranged weapon with poison. The next attack petrifies them. They are immobile, but damage they take is reduced by 100%. If you attack them while petrified, it’s removed.
Swift Concealment (E skill)Immediately enter Stealth for 6 seconds, critical damage is increased during Stealth.

While the Rogue deals plenty of damage, their squishiness is even more of a hindrance in groups. I highly recommend prioritizing stamina when you can if it doesn’t mean sacrificing Stealthbreak Venom or Evaporate.

Petrifying Poison is still your go-to Q skill, but Quick Blades is worth considering as well since it does have a really strong effect that lasts 3 seconds, slowing enemies by 70%! If you take that route, then I would recommend keeping your distance with a crossbow.

Swift Concealment hasn’t changed either, but in groups, you have even less of a reason to use Vanish. It’s a decent way to scout ahead or trick enemy groups into thinking your party has one less person, but for the most part, you’ll cast Swift Concealment every chance you get for the extra critical strike damage.
