In the middle of all of the announcements being made during Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event, we finally got a US and PAL region release date for Xenoblade Chronicles X. The game will be coming to Western shores on December 4, 2015.

Although the game has been out in Japan since April, European and American audiences have been tentatively waiting to see when the game would be released in their markets. Together with the release date, we also got a new trailer showing off Xenoblade Chronicles X’s gameplay, gorgeous graphics and the immense musical score.

Chronicles X is the spiritual successor to Xenoblade Chronicles that originally came out on the Wii in 2010. It is an action-RPG with a big focus on exploration and combat. But one of the key aspects of the game is the use of giant mech suits – called Skells. Using these Skells the player can engage in battle in both the ground and in the air, and the Skells can also transform into other vehicles such as motorcycles or tanks.

Having Xenoblade Chronicles X come to the US and Europe will give the Wii-U a much needed boost to its gaming library and will more than likely be on a few people’s gift list this holiday season.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is out on Wii-U December 4, 2015.
