Elon Musk has been in the news, well, basically since forever. However, some of that news crosses over into the world of gaming, a field in which Musk tends to flaunt his superiority and elite-level gaming skills. After recent facts have come out that contradict his skill levels quite dramatically, a disgusting (seriously check out his room) gamer has drawn his ire unexpectedly.
Elon Musk Unfollows and Leaks Asmongold on X
In a series of X posts or Tweets, Elon Musk was clearly upset that Asmongold had called Elon out for faking his Path of Exile 2 career with a character that wasn’t played by him. Elon Musk was previously accused of boosting in other notable games like Diablo 4, and his endgame build in Elden Ring was a laughing stock for a good while. After Asmongold’s rant went viral, Elon decided to troll him back in some unexpected ways.
First, captured in the post shown above, he called him out for not running his own channel. He also accused him of being a fraud.
“Asmon behaves like a maverick independent who has to ask his boss permission to do anything. He is not his own man”
Then, he unfollowed Asmongold, stripped him of his verified badge on X, and in even bigger twist, he leaked some DM’s with Asmongold. These DM’s detail the streamers’ editing flow across his Twitch and YouTube and how his channel works. Elon went on to also add more fuel to the fire.
“I’m on hundreds of streams on YouTube/Twitch playing live with the world’s best players. No other way to say this, but, while Asmon IS good at caustic commentary and making fun of people, he is NOT good at video games”
Asmongold didn’t take this lying down; he also responded with a petty shot of his own.
The drama continues to unfold on each of their social media platforms. Still, considering Elon Musk actually owns X, it’s probably a losing fight that Asmongold should probably give up sooner rather than later, as he has his controversies to deal with. Who knows if the beef will continue, but it’s entertaining, at the very least.
