Tech mogul, billionaire, pro gamer, and US Special Advisor Elon Musk continues to pile on more controversies to his image, this time around, he’s becoming seemingly more candid with his stance on fascism. Elon Musk has been spotted on his very own online platform sharing a post that defends Hitler and other dictators’ genocidal tendencies.
As usual, Musk shared the post on X/Twitter— an image that’s a screenshot of another person’s post with the following text, “Stalin, Mao and Hitler didn’t murder millions of people. Their public sector workers did.”
It’s worth noting that Musk reposted the tweet on Thursday and amid his ongoing Nazism controversy which sprouted from the two supposed Nazi salutes he performed with passion during President Donald Trump’s inauguration back in January. Since then, people from all over the world have labeled Musk as a fascist or a neo-Nazi along with his car company, Tesla Inc.
President Donald Trump even had to step in and threaten those who are vandalizing and attacking Tesla Inc.’s assets and those are boycotting Tesla, which has notably lowered Tesla’s stock price. So far in the last five days, Tesla’s stock price has plunged by an additional -7.17%.
It’s not clear what Musk planned to achieve by retweeting the Hitler and other dictator apologist posts, but it certainly hasn’t helped his image if he’s actually being serious. Actually scratch that, even if he’s trolling, it still doesn’t help to share a factually wrong apologist statement about history’s worst dictators.
And for clarification’s sake, it has been objectively confirmed that Hitler was also responsible for millions of deaths, not just his Nazi officials. Besides, feigning Hitler and Nazi apologism is not something one should joke about, even in a troll post.
And Thus, the Swasticar Sentiments Continue
Thanks to the repost, Musk has practically added more fuel to the fire for anti-Tesla protests and stances. Masses are even going out of their way to urge Tesla car owners to get rid of their “Swasticars,” presumably to hit Musk right where it hurts, in the wallet. So far, Musk has lost nearly $200 billion and counting in net worth.
Outside of the US, Musk has also been spotted rubbing elbows with far-right political parties in the UK and Germany, further adding to people’s negative impressions of him and his car company. Some have mocked Musk’s Kanye West-levels of self-destruction.
“I’m sure this’ll help Tesla recover lol,” claims Redditor Curey0us
“He stays reposting the most heinous shit with an 🤔 emoji and gets a pass on his holocaust denialism or eugenics bullshit” rants Redditor fuddy_dudley2233
Others were more humorous in their approach:
Regardless, Tesla Inc.’s problems are the direct result of Elon Musk’s actions from the Nazi salute to the Hitler retweet, and it appears their keep getting worse no matter how much President Trump helps him.
