Ezra Miller is off the hook for the grooming allegations levied against him in 2022. In a surprising twist, the father of the alleged victim released a statement withdrawing all accusations against the actor. Recall that Miller exhibited a string of troubling behaviors that year, adding flames to the damning allegations.

In a statement, Chase Iron, the father who filed the complaint, explained why he chose to retract it. He revealed that he now fully supports Hundred in the Hand, a band that Miller and his daughter, Tokata, are in together. Hence, the need for him to set the record straight. “I don’t feel like I owe an explanation, but after we hosted a party in Santa Fe, we received some feedback,” he wrote. “When you live your life under a public (tribal and non tribal) microscope of critique, sometimes it seems it’s only the critique that makes its way through.” Telling the truth about why he accused Miller in the first place, Chase wrote:

“I made that statement in my pleading (in a time of absolute war) based on information from a witness who then recanted and said nothing happened that they could infer anything inappropriate from. Thus, I immediately withdrew the court filings.”

Now that all the drama is behind them, the patriarch and his wife “are doing our level best to move on, to reconcile, to heal while remaining supportive.” According to Chase, “As long as Tokata’s good, we’re good.” Alongside the lengthy message, he uploaded pictures of him and Miller acting friendly.

In the June 2022 lawsuit, Chase and his wife, Sara Jumping Eagle, claimed The Flash star manipulated and controlled their daughter after meeting her in 2016. At the time, Tokota was just 14 years old. Per reports, Miller reportedly offered to pay for her to attend college but “would later use this against Tokata to create a sense of indebtedness,” the court documents claim. As a result, she dropped out of school and traveled with Miller everywhere, including Hawaii, where he got into a string of troubles.

The doting parents said they were concerned for their daughter’s safety because Miller displayed “cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior.” They further alleged that he used “violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.” After the court filing, Tokota released a statement denying her parents’ allegations. She referred to Miller as a “comrade” who has “only provided loving support and invaluable protection.”
