While the Moogles can be rather scary-looking — like muppets with soulless eyes — Cloud needs to interact with them to spend his Moogle Medals. Each region in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a couple of Mogstools. While traveling through the areas of the map, consider stopping by these Moogle Intel locations and investing some time and effort to play with them.

There are seven Moogle Intel locations in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Each spot provides a fun mini-game that can raise your Moogle Merchant Rank, granting you access to purchase special items. Each vendor sells the same stock, but your Moogle Merchant rank increases as you visit more of them. Your rank determines what they’ll sell you in exchange for Moogle Medals. Upon finding and completing all seven locations, you’ll earn the Moogle Lover trophy as well as the Moogle Plush collectible. In total, you will be able to purchase:

  • Ether

Grasslands

Grasslands Mogstool

There is only one Mogstool in the Grasslands. Once you’ve activated the very first tower in the area, you’ll have this Moogle Intel location marked on your map. Of all of the Moogle Intel locations, this is the easiest one to get to. The items that this Moogle Merchant sells are no different from what the others sell. However, as you continue raising your level, the items above become purchaseable. The intel reads:

Once upon a time, fledging Mooglets would practice taking to the skies on these plains. So soft was the grass here, they could fall dozens of times and still never get hurt. Not only that, but the grass served as a cozy bed for many a fatigued flier.

Junon

Junon also only has one mogstool where you can exchange Moogle Medals. This one is atop a cliff and requires you to have the region’s chocobo to reach it. Once you do, you can safely climb the wall and reach the Mogstool. The Moogle Merchant here will sell the exact same items as the other Moogles do. The intel for this location reads:

Once upon a time, there was an old Moogle who loved to fish. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t catch a thing. His heart heavy, he would star out at the horizon for hours on end. But what he lacked in fish, he made up for with wonderful Moogle friends, all of whom helped to cheer him up.

Corel Region

Corel has two Mogstools, one for each area of the region. The two locations are in plain sight, with no need for you to wrangle the region’s chocobo or use the Buggy. At both of these locations, the Moogle Merchants will sell the same items as in the other Mogstools. The intel reads for the first one reads:

Once upon a time, a group of Moogles discovered an enormous kupo nut, and danced with joy. When some local humans caught a glimpse, they felt compelled to mimic the Moogles’ beautiful, swaying movements – and so Costa del Sol’s traditional dance was born.

The second bit of intel reads:

Once upon a time, the king of the Moogles had wandered into the desert but was luckily guided to safety by a passing tonberry. To express his gratitude and mark their newfound friendship, the Moogle king granted the tonberry a wondrous crown.

There is only one Mogstool on the south end of Gongaga. You can find this Mogstool on the south end of the region in plain sight. You can just fast-travel to a nearby location and use your chocobo to head over. When you arrive and complete the mini-game, you’ll be allowed to purchase items from the Moogle Merchant using Moogle Medals. The intel for this location reads:

Once upon a time, a hungry Moogle was flitting through the forest in search of food when a most tantalizing aroma caught their attention. Following the scent led them to a mighty fine fungus – one said to be the ancestor of the Gongaga mushrooms of today.

Cosmo Canyon

There is also only one Mogstool at the south end of Cosmo Canyon. This Mogstool is located deep within the canyon, so it would be in your best interest to get the region’s chocobo quickly to reach it. When you arrive, the Moogle Merchant here will sell you the same items as the others, albeit with a much nicer view. The intel for this Mogstool reads:

Once upon a time, there lived a chocobo who bore witness to a Moogle clearing an entire chasm in a single bound, held aloft on its tiny wings. Impressed by this feat, the bird sought the Moogle’s advice – and it is said that this is how chocobos learned how to fly.

Nibel Region

Lastly, there is only one Mogstool in Nibel. Unlike most of the other intel locations in this region, you don’t need a jet-stream gliding chocobo to get to it. upon finishing the Moogle’s mini-game, you’ll be able to use this location to purchase items using Moogle Medals. The intel for this one reads: O

nce upon a time, there was a Moogle who hurt his wings and couldn’t fly anymore. Their friends wanted to help them very much, so they gathered up all the chocograss they could and tied it around them. They then rose into the sky and floated away like a balloon in the breeze.
