A wild scene out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is going viral after a man was filmed sitting beside the wreckage of his truck, calmly announcing, “Can y’all back the f-ck up, I just got hit by a train.” The video shows the man perched on a curb, drink cup by his side, while his truck sits completely demolished under a train crossing gate in the background. Instead of shock or panic, he waves his hands in frustration as bystanders film. At one point, someone nearby jokes, “You can’t park there, gang,” which clearly irritated the driver.
According to Fort Lauderdale police, the train struck the back of the man’s pickup truck late Saturday night. In the chaos, two other vehicles collided while trying to get off the tracks. One of those cars was forced onto the sidewalk, slamming into the front entrance of The Den Sports Bar and Lounge at 201 SW Second St.
A woman standing outside was hit by the vehicle. Witness Dorrien Francois told reporters, “One of the cars ended up getting on the sidewalk and hitting another lady.” She was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, though her current condition has not been released. Other drivers involved in the multi-vehicle mess were seen walking and talking at the scene.
Florida Man Says ‘I Just Got Hit By a Train’ After Pickup Obliterated in Fort Lauderdale Crash
Viewers of the TikTok video wasted no time poking fun at the bizarre moment. “Trains can only go on tracks. I don’t understand why people get hit by them,” one user wrote. Another laughed, “Hit by a train like he didn’t run the barrier.”
“He said that like trains come out of nowhere just clearing people,” someone else added as another questioned, “And whose fault is that?” One commenter summed up the collective disbelief, “A train doesn’t hit anyone. You have to put yourself in front of it for that to happen.”
The clip has racked up thousands of views, with many pointing out the obvious that trains can’t swerve, and the only way this crash could have happened was if the truck was stopped on the tracks.
