Fortnite is a big fan of both vaulting and unvaulting items, ensuring the game doesn’t feel bloated with items while also bringing back classic items once in a while. They’ve done so in the past with various rifles alongside different items, and naturally, most of the community has been excited. The latest of this effort is the unvaulting of the ever-popular Crash Pads, letting players find this classic item out in the world. If you’re having trouble finding the item though, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Crash Pads in Fortnite!

Where to Find Crash Pads in Fortnite

The Sanctuary is home to the Seven and a great landing spot in Fortnite

Like a lot of items in Fortnite, you can find Crash Pads just about anywhere. They could be found as ground loot, through various drops, in chests, or anywhere else you may or may not find items. If you’re having trouble finding one, you’re sadly just going to have to keep trying until you can find one. Yes, it is that simple.

As for why you might want one, a Crash Pad can have a variety of uses. First, and most importantly, is fall damage protection. When you fall from high heights either by accident or by your build being shot, throwing one of these below your feet can be a saving grace in a pinch. The other primary use is for reaching new heights. If you want to save your materials or simply want a much faster way up somewhere like a tall building, throwing one down can let you quickly do that. Just make sure to shoot it after getting where you want to since other players can use it as well.
