Frankie Muniz discusses how his experience as an actor was positive while also highlighting the parts that aren’t as glamorous. He also goes into a bit of detail about how the industry itself is not very forgiving when it comes to children.

The conversation most likely stems from the latest Max documentary, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kid’s TV. As a minor, Muniz starred alongside Amanda Bynes in Big Fat Liar, a film directed by Dan Schneider, whom the documentary was primarily about. The documentary briefly touches on the relationship between Schneider and Bynes, who ultimately resigned from acting after her final acting role in 2010 for various reasons.
Her journey since has provided evidence of what the longstanding effects of being a former child actor could accumulate to. While this doesn’t apply to every child actor, it makes sense for the actor and racecar driver to be wary.
