Bebe Rexha is going off and spilling the tea on the oppression she has endured in the industry. The singer recently went on a long rant, explaining why her career hasn’t taken off despite being on the scene for more than a decade. During an interaction with fans, Rexha pointed fingers at the “powers that be.”
“I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry. I AM frustrated,” she wrote. “I’ve been so quiet for the longest time.” Rexha, who said she had been “undermined,” explained that she had been oblivious to the signs around her. However, when she recognized it and spoke up about her issues, she got “punished by this industry.”

When asked by a fan what led to the tweet, the four-time Grammy nominee wrote, “You havenโt even heard 5 percent. You have NO IDEA.” In another tweet, she informed a fan that she received no marketing budget for the promotion of her latest single, I’m The Drama. While Rexha has yet to directly address the issue, in a final tweet, she revealed what inspired her outburst.
“This is not just coming from a place of anger. Itโs sadness. Iโm sitting in my hotel room in London Crying my eyes out. Iโve felt hopeless for the longest time. Iโve been walking a lot through this city and meeting fans and they have really ignited something inside of me.”
Bebe Rexha Slams ‘Ungrateful’ G-Eazy
Rexha has been on a roll lately. Her public outrage towards the industry comes just weeks after she unloaded on a fellow artist. In a since-deleted post, the 34-year-old called out rapper G-Eazy. The pair collaborated on the hit song Me, Myself and I in 2014, but their relationship turned contentious.
“@g_eazy, you have my number. Why donโt you text me and ask me yourself, you stuck up, ungrateful loser? Youโre lucky people are liking you again,” she wrote. The New York native threatened to expose the bad treatment suffered at the hands of the rapper. In a follow-up tweet, Rexha explained the reason behind her post. “Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing,” Rexha confessed. “I am writing this because I regret taking it down, and I want to say that I still stand by what I said.”
