A new way to enjoy all video gaming has to offer is soon going to be available on one channel called Venn. Venn is looking to be the future of enjoying gaming entertainment from all different platforms. Some of the biggest names in gaming have already funded over $17 million dollars in the hopes it will be bigger than Twitch and Mixer. Venn’s founders are hoping to gain the attention of streaming platforms biggest online celebrities to bring all their viewers over to Venn.

Venn is being classified as the MTV for video gaming viewing for the current phenomenon of streaming games, esports, and let’s plays. The two founders of Venn, Ben Kusin and Ariel Horn, is looking to bring the latest in streamers, casters, and content creators to its platform.

“We think streamers, casters, content creators, these are the new celebrities,” Kusin said.

These streamer and content creators Kusin mentioned they’re looking to gather to be a part of Venn are top tier. Horn and Kusin are looking to bring this top tier sponsor-based streams into the more traditional network environment. They’re looking to make a show with higher production values and talent contracts that could be afforded by a network figure.

The two founders of Venn definitely have the credentials to make something like this work. Ariel Horn specifically, is a four-time Emmy-winning producer from his time working on Olympics coverage for NBC. Then moving to Riot Games and Blizzard Entertainment for esports coverage. His co-founder Ben Kusin is a former global director of new media at Vivendi Games. To say these two are ready to produce a platform like Venn is an understatement.

Horn and Kusin are not being too particular on which platforms they’re using for Venn either.

“We’re a universal network,” Kusin said. “We will be distributed on Twitch, on Youtube and on Pluto, Hulu and Roku.”

The team at Venn looks to be putting their content all over the internet where this type of content is viewed in the millions. Investors are lining up to see where this goes but with a total amount of $17 million dollars so far in funding, I think they have a good start. Let us know in the comments below what you think about this MTV style of network produced video game content. Will it replace Twitch and Mixer or be among the greatest side by side? Let us know!
