With all the new content added during Genshin Impact Version 4.2, tackling the bulk of the new quests and zones can feel daunting. Between all the puzzles, mechanics, and complicated instructions, not every player has the time to sit for hours solving each quest. This is especially true for a quest like The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes Quest, which can waste a lot of time for players who don’t know where to go. For those stuck or lost, here’s a short guide on completing Genshin Impact 4.2’s new The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest.
To start the quest, players will want to travel to Marcotte Station and travel along the path until they reach a fountain. Here, a tablet on the statue will offer players the quest. Players can skip this step entirely and head to one of the first three quest arenas to get started on Genshin Impact 4.2’s new The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest immediately.
Wild Fairy of Erinnyes Quest: Foggy Forest Path
After picking up the quest, players must travel to three new quest areas and complete a puzzle at each zone. The areas are the Foggy Forest Path, the Weeping Willow of the Lake, and Loch Urania.
Starting off with the closest quest area to the starting point, players will find a large tree in the center of the path. To complete the objective in this area, players will need to complete three Dew Bubble puzzles, in order to fill the tree with Hydro energy. Doing so will unlock the first of the keys required for Genshin Impact 4.2’s The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest.
Wild Fairy of Erinnyes Quest: Weeping Willow of the Lake
Hidden beneath the Willow, players will need to travel into the lake with the ultimate goal of finding a Xenochromatic Ball Octopus. Players must use a nearby Xenochromatic Hunter’s Ray to free the octopus from its grassy prison. After gaining the octopus’ ability, players can now clear away the bacteria hidden in the lake. After this, a Dew Bubble will appear, allowing players to solve a fairly simple puzzle under the Willow to finish this part of Genshin Impact 4.2’s The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest.
Wild Fairy of Erinnyes Quest: Loch Urania
Finally, after heading to Loch Urania, players will find a lake with extreme currents that make it difficult to swim in. In this lake, by using the Xenochromatic Armored Crab’s ability, players can absorb the projectiles of the nearby bacteria, and use them to destroy the purple mass. After, players can travel to the other side of the lake, clear the remaining bacteria, and obtain a key. Here, players will need to subdue an angry vishnap. Doing so will complete the last part of the quest.
Within The Depths Of Erinnyes
In the end, players will return to the fountain, where they must place the three keys they obtained from the previous three objectives to enter the depths of the fountain. Here, players will fight with a larger, bacteria boss, where they must take out smaller bacteria before damaging the larger one. Afterward, the Traveler and friends must repel an onslaught of rifthounds, before escaping and finishing the questline.
