During the “Monumental Study” World Quest’s second half in Genshin Impact, the Traveler is instructed to “Search for the Lost Monument Fragments.” This particular activity is only possible with Sorush, the sentient Bloomguard Gadget you receive during the “Khvarena of Good and Evil” quest series. You receive Sorush during “The Splendorous Sky That Day,” the first part of the extensive optional questline. After you’ve progressed far enough in the quest, you’ll gain access to “Monumental Study” by speaking with Sosi the Skeptic. This quest giver can be found in the gorge of the Temir Mountains.

After investigating the Fatui camps Sosi marked, you must search for Lost Monument Fragments in the Girdle of the Sands in Genshin Impact. During “Monumental Study,” Sosi provides the Traveler with a note marking the potential locations of these fragments. However, the Girdle of the Sands subregion is quite large, making searching for these quest objectives rather challenging.

The first Lost Monument Fragment location can be discovered within the Hills of Barsom. More specifically, you’ll need to switch to Sorush and investigate the giant tree in the area. Accordingly, enter the hollow of the tree trunk to find the fragment.

The next Khvarena Inscription Fragment of the “Monumental Study” quest can be found in the Vourukasha Oasis. Travel to the Waypoint near the southern wall of the oasis and explore the area. The landmarks you’re looking for are a slanted trunk and a large arching tree trunk. Between these two environmental pieces is a slab of stone slanting upward, where the fragment will appear.

The third fragment is above the tunnel entrance west of the Asipattravana Swamp. Head to either the Waypoint atop the ridge to the west or in the center of the swamp. Make your way to the western underpass entryway and use Sorush to fly to the top. The fragment will be floating near some arching, tangled roots.

The fourth location of the Lost Monument Fragments in Genshin Impact is in the Tunigi Hollow of Gavireh Lajavard. Ascend to the bluff overlook beside the massive tree-like plant jutting sharply from the ground. Use Sorush to fly to the lofty top of the pointed tip to discover the final fragment.

After collecting all the fragments, talk with Sosi near the Gate of Zulqarnain. Several Fatui will show up looking for a fight, after which “Monumental Study” in Genshin Impact will conclude. You will receive Primogems and Hero’s Wits for your efforts.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
