Marvel is bringing a Giant-Size Hulk adventure to its Giant-Size 50th anniversary lineup. 2024 marks 50 years of the Giant-Size storytelling format, and Marvel is going all out for the occasion. New issues will bring shifts to Marvel dynamics, feature exciting first appearances, and bring dramatic developments every month. It will kick off in January with Giant-Size Spider-Man #1, followed by supersized Fantastic Four and Spider-Gwen issues. Now, Marvel is bringing an overstuffed Hulk adventure to the lineup.

Giant-Size Hulk #1 arrives this coming April. The mega one-shot will fit right in with writer Phillip Kenedy Johnson’s current Incredible Hulk run. That series finds Bruce Banner on a soul-crushing journey against supernatural forces. Now, it will lead into Johnson and Andrea Broccardo’s Giant-Size Hulk #1. The one-shot will feature an all-out brawl between the Hulk and a new enemy named Patchwork Jack. Adding to the suspense, the entire fight takes place on a speeding train.

Speaking about the upcoming Giant-Size Hulk, Johnson admits that his only goal with Incredible Hulk has been to imbue horror into action. This means pulling out all the stops to make sure readers don’t miss the lore, monsters, transformations, and special guests that pop up from time to time. Of course, it also means creating some of the biggest and most jaw-dropping fights of the Marvel Universe. So, when the time came for a Giant-Size Hulk issue, he knew he had to take everything even further. That’s why the overstuffed issue features some of the most haunting and explosive visuals seen from the team so far.
