It was not all roses and peaches with Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and her ex-husband Ryan Anderson‘s sex life. The expecting mom is seemingly recanting her famous statement about Anderson’s sexual prowess. The ex-convict recalls the difficulties she experienced during intimacy with her former husband upon her release.
The pregnant star, who is currently dating Ken Urker, details issues that influenced her decision to end the relationship. Back then, the internet sensation shared how pleased she was with Anderson, a Louisiana special education teacher. The former couple married behind bars in 2022 after she and Urker called off their previous engagement. Blanchard and Anderson consummated their marriage shortly after her release from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Facility.
The former couple’s new feat was met with heavy reservation by trolls about Anderson’s “performance.” Blanchard then encouraged her now ex to ignore the hateful comments about their sex life at the time. “Don’t listen to the haters. Besides, they jealous because you are rocking my world every night,” she quipped before adding, “Yeah, I said it, the D is fire.” Now, Blanchard admits to PEOPLE that they in fact, had it rough behind closed doors. “Ryan and my sex life was not ideal. I told him privately. Maybe it was a lack of attraction in that area or if I still wasn’t processing properly.”

In her new memoir, Blanchard openly discusses the struggles of her abusive childhood. She reveals a history of horrifying sexual abuse during her early years. Her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, who is serving a life sentence for murdering her mother, also reportedly abused her. However, authorities have not charged Godejohn with sexual abuse or assault.
Blanchard also shared that she experimented with her sexuality in prison but could not fully savor the experience. In any case, since reconnecting with Ulker, her life has taken a dramatic turn for good. She credited seven years of sexual tension for their unforgettable first sexual encounter after reigniting their romance. Blanchard admitted to still dealing with trauma from her terrible sexual past, but a conversation with her boo helps.
She believes their strong sexual chemistry played a role in conceiving their baby girl. The bundle of Joy, already named Aurora, is due to arrive early next year. The already doting mother had the best two trimesters but admitted to struggling through her third and final trimester. Amid her third semester chaos, Blanchard is still very much at peace. The star declared that she is slowly transitioning to a more private life to help her raise her daughter. Blanchard is also preparing to release her book My Time to Stand on December 10.

We earlier shared Anderson’s reaction to news of the star’s plan to undergo a DNA test for her pregnancy. Blanchard’s decision came amid rumors that the pregnancy may be Anderson’s. The Special Ed teacher then took to TikTok to express his shock at being the reason for Blanchard’s decision. Anderson explained that he had never questioned the child’s paternity or made a fuss about who the father was.
He urged the public to lay the rumors to rest, reiterating that the child did not belong to him. The teacher congratulated Urker on the pregnancy but did not spare him the “home wrecker” title. Anderson claimed the couple released the news of the child’s paternity to TMZ because they already knew the truth. The educator added that he was heartbroken that his former partner did not contact him about doing the test. According to sources, Blanchard needed the test to complete her baby’s birth certificate.
