Halo 5: Guardians is only a few days away from releasing, but 343 Industries’ franchise director, Frank O’Connor, has something interesting to say regarding the game. This one is for the PC crowd.

During a recent live stream with GamesRadar, O’Connor hinted that Halo 5 could possibly expand past being exclusive to the Xbox One and entering the world of PC gaming. This wouldn’t be the first time on the PC for the franchise, but it would still be a nice move. “There are plenty of chances that Halo 5 could appear on the PC,” he said during the stream. “Nothing to announce at this point, but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason.”

He continued, “We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing to announce today.”

The Halo series has appeared on the PC before as Halo CE made its debut back in 2003, with Halo 2 making its debut in 2007. Since then, only the top-down twin-stick shooters Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike.

It has been ten years since PC gamers were given the opportunity to play a full-fledged Halo game. With the cross-platform play between Windows 10 and Xbox One, the idea of Halo 5: Guardians on PC isn’t really that far-fetched.

Halo 5: Guardians will be releasing on October 27 on Xbox One.
