It’s no secret to say that a lot of people are ecstatic about the Halo games coming to PC.  The entire PC gaming community was in celebration at the announcement, and have discussed it at lengths since then. Halo: Reach managed to be a major success for them at its PC launch, but many were waiting for the first game as Master Chief. In a surprise reveal, those people have to wait no longer. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is now available on Windows Store, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass for PC! The news was announced on Halo’s official Twitter page along with each platform.

Halo

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is the first game (chronologically) in the Master Chief Collection. It stars the now fan-favorite Master Chief in his fight against the Covenant. After the Pillar of Autumn narrowly escapes the destruction of Reach, the crew find a Halo ring. This is a mysterious manmade structure which holds both many secrets about the past, but also several dangers. The Master Chief and Cortana must work with the UNSC to stop the Covenant from taking the ring and beginning their “great journey.”

As you might expect, the game is remastered to be closer to modern-day graphics. Not only that, but the PC version is even further enhanced with more graphical and gameplay options. This is the definitive way to begin Master Chief’s saga and is a game that a lot of classic Halo fans adore. If you want to play the game, it’s available for just $10 or through Xbox Game Pass for PC. You can also purchase all six games at $50, which will release in the near future.

If you’re a Halo fan, there’s no doubt you’re incredibly excited to play this. Did you play Halo: Reach when it came to PC? Which game is your favorite Halo game? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for your news, reviews, and more!
