Master Chief is coming back to take down more of The Covenant. Paramount has released the trailer for Halo season 2, which will see the fall of Reach. For fans of the games, season 2 will head to the eponymous planet as the alien attack evolves into new, dangerous territory.

The new footage sees the preparations the residents of Reach must make before backup can arrive. From there, things escalate greatly as the war erupts within the planet’s major city. Plenty of action is seen along with major character moments. As seen from our major heroes, Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber) takes down waves of Elites, Kai-125 (Kate Kennedy) defenselessly watches as the Covenant orbital strikes tear through buildings and ships like they are nothing, and Captain Jacob Keyes (Danny Sapani) does his best to boost morale during a final stand.

Halo Season 2 Trailer Sees the Direction Under a New Showrunner as the Fall of Reach Nears

Behind the camera, things have shifted for the second outing of the space epic. Brave New World’s David Wiener took over showrunner duties from Steven Kane after being in talks early in 2022. Kane had co-created the series with Kyle Killen. Killen stepped away once his job was done, leading Kane to take over as the lead showrunner.

The trailer for Halo season 2 shows new and familiar faces. New additions to the cast include Joseph Morgan, Cristina Rodlo, and Christina Bennington. They join returning stars Schreiber, Sapani, Kennedy, Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, and Charlie Murphy.
