Dua Lipa‘s Jakarta performance has a significant setback amid safety concerns. The singer shattered many fans’ hearts tonight as she announced that the Jakarta show will not be held. The “Radical Optimism” tour is Lipa’s first stadium tour and third overall. Lipa made the crushing announcement on her Instagram story earlier today. The singer was disappointed to not perform in Jakarta today, November 9. She explained:
“I am here in your amazing country and ready to perform, but I am gutted to share that it has been determined that it is not safe for the performance to carry on due to safety issues with the staging.”
She had looked forward to finally performing in Jakarta again after a long break. The singer assured her fans of full “refunds,” adding that she cannot wait to finally have fun with them. Lipa’s tour opened in Singapore on November 5 2024, and will conclude in Seattle on October 16 2025. Live Nation packaged the tour named after her third studio album, which will feature 68 shows.
