Horizon Zero Dawn has today launched update 1.11.2 on PC, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Today is yet another update that brings mostly bug fixes, though given the context of the game, that much makes complete sense. To be a bit more specific though, these PC-specific changes fix up issues with both VRAM management and DLSS/FSR, which saw a few issues here and there prior to this update. Those with higher-end systems that would run into these issues should find things going a bit smoother after installing this patch. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Horizon Zero Dawn in its 1.11.2 update!

Horizon Zero Dawn Update 1.11.2 Patch Notes

Open World Exploration
Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Improved VRAM management when changing resolution or upscale mode, which could cause performance issues that were only fixed by restarting the game
  • Fixed various assets using the wrong quality level while using DLSS/FSR
  • Fixed visual artifact issue when clipping the camera through a surface like pushing against a wall (ie with large FOVs or ultrawide screens) while using DLSS/FSR
  • Fixed visual corruption and reduced foliage flickering issues on certain AMD GPUs

As said, these updates are meant for higher-end systems that meet specific conditions, and not for a majority of PC gamers who might be playing Horizon Zero Dawn. If you’re tweaking the resolution at any point now, VRAM usage should no longer randomly skyrocket and cause performance issues. There should also no longer be serious visual glitches when running the game under DLSS or FSR, which I’d suggest running anyways should you be playing Horizon Zero Dawn in the first place. Trust me, unless you care about specific pixels on your screen, the performance improvements are more than worth it.

Horizon Zero Dawn and update 1.11.2 are available on PC, while the base game can be found on PlayStation platforms. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Steam post.
