Palia is a comfy, fantasy-themed life simulator game designed as an online game from the ground up. Ditching MMORPG staples such as raids and progression through combat, you and your friends instead build and share hand-made communities. With this system, players can easily meet and play together through shared instances that are accessible at any time. But once you’ve done your chores in Palia for the day, you might wonder where the “save game” option can be found.

Can You Perform a Manual Save in Palia? Answered

No, you cannot do a manual save in Palia; all progress will be saved automatically through the auto-save system. Since the game is designed as an online game, you have to connect to the internet constantly, and all progress is saved on the server. As such, you can quit the game any time you like and will not lose any changes you have made just before you exit Palia.

Speaking of servers, considering Palia is an online game, you can play cooperatively with a maximum of 24 other players in a server. While you can play the whole life simulator game alone, developer Singularity6 believes playing together is a much better experience.

Nevertheless, if you are playing the Nintendo Switch version, we suggest you link your Palia account with your Nintendo account. This way, you will not lose data when you uninstall the game from your console or change to a new device. Here’s how you can link your Palia account and keep your save between Nintendo Switch and PC:

  1. Create a Palia account at accounts.palia.com.
  2. Register your e-mail address with the one you use for your Nintendo account.
    • If you already have a Palia account, simply log in and both will automatically connect.
  3. If you have logged into the game before linking your account, you can do so from the main menu option.
  4. In case you’re having trouble using the same e-mail when logging in on different device, try the Forgot Password option. Then, change your password and log in again. Your save from Nintendo Switch can now be played on the PC version of Palia or vice versa.
