Monster Hunter Now uses the same AR concept that Pokemon Go does. It makes sense since they’re both developed by the same studio, Niantic. Like the latter, Monster Hunter Now allows you to collect resources that can be used to upgrade things like weapons and armor. Unfortunately, these resources are limited and only respawn after a short while. Let’s get into how resource respawning works in Monster Hunter Now.

Resource Respawn Times in Monster Hunter Now

There are two types of resources that you can collect inย Monster Hunter Now: Small resources and large resource nodes. Small resources include bone piles, geodes, and grass, and they respawn fifteen minutes after you collect them. Large resource nodes, like PokeStops, are locked to actual geographical locations. The resources at these nodes respawn after three hours.

Monster Respawn Times

Like resources, the monsters you encounter also have respawn times. The small monsters don’t, allowing you to hunt them pretty much all day long. For big monsters, however, there are different respawn times. They follow a three-hour routine as follows:

UTC (Universal)PDT (Pacific)EST (Eastern)
0:00 (midnight)5:00 pm8:00 pm
3:00 am8:00 pm11:00 pm
6:00 am11:00 pm2:00 am
9:00 am2:00 am5:00 am
12:00 (noon)5:00 am8:00 am
3:00 pm8:00 am11:00 am
6:00 pm11:00 am2:00 pm
9:00 pm2:00 pm5:00 pm

In our personal experience, it looks like public parks are the only exception. Instead of every three hours, the large monsters respawn after only one hour. We aren’t sure if there is a specific rule in place when it comes to what public parks are applicable.
