Persona 3 Reload is a faithful remake of the original game, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t new, modern features, like Rewinding. Rewinding is one of the earliest new features you gain access to, allowing you to undue your most recent choices, incase you feel like you wanted to do something else. This is a pretty big feature for a Persona title, since these games operate on a calendar system where you have a limited amount of time before the game ends. Here’s exactly how Rewinding works in Persona 3 Reload.

Rewinding in Persona 3 Reload works like a built in save scum system. In the “system” menu you can find the Rewind menu. In there you will be presented with your past five periods of free time, formatted to look like saves. These will tell you where you were, what time of day it was, and your playtime. The playtime is the most important part here, since you probably don’t want to undue a bunch of time spent in Tartarus, for example.

Free time is just any point during a day where you can choose what to do with your time. This means that the mornings of most days won’t appear, since you don’t get to choose if you go to school or not. The benefit of this system is changing your mind about how you choose to spend your free time outside of battling. Maybe you regret spending time with a specific Social Link instead of someone else. Maybe you found a certain event not worth the rewards or the part-time job didn’t give you the stat boost you might have wanted. Just remember that Rewinding only works for the past five moments of free time, so if you regret a choice, undo it quickly.

Persona 3 Reload is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
