A whole decade after the release of Armored Core: Verdict Day, high-speed mecha action game fans can once again shed a single tear of joy. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have unleashed Armored Core 6 to consoles and PCs worldwide this August. Nevertheless, series veterans are wary. After years of developing the Souls series, can FromSoftware still deliver the same heart-pumping giant robot combat? Will they skim on unlockable content and endings? Will the game be too short? If you’re wondering how long it will take to beat Armored Core 6, here’s what you need to know.

How Long Does It Take To Beat Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon?

Patrick Armstrong, our resident Armored Core 6 expert, said that it took him 20 hours to beat the Arena and Story Mode. However, getting S Rank on every mission and obtaining all Battle Logs should bump up the playtime at least thrice as much. For a completionist run, it should take 50-60 hours to beat Fires of Rubicon.

It pretty much lines up with what Game Director Masaru Yamamura said to the Taiwanese site Gamebase. The first playthrough should take 20 hours, but players are expected to play repeatedly to see the different endings. Without spoiling too much of the game, Armored Core 6 has three different endings. Two endings are decided depending on which last mission you took. However, you have to play through the whole game twice to be able to see both of them. Meanwhile, the third secret ending takes a bit more effort to unlock since you have to clear the two endings first.

According to players’ report on How Long To Beat, Armored Core 6 takes the crown as the longest entry to clear. Most of the games in the series usually only last between 8 and 15 hours. For completionists though, Armored Core 5 and Verdict Day are just behind Fires of Rubicon. It will take you 41 hours and 30 hours to finish all the content of the respective previous games.

There you have it. Armored Core series fans shouldn’t be worried about any lack of content or challenge in the game’s latest entry. Beating all the endings, collecting collectibles, and S Ranking all the missions in Armored Core 6 will still take both time and effort!
