Obelisks are called many different things by players in theย Ark community: towers, beacons, arks; you name it. You will see three various Obelisks on any given map. There is a red, a green, and a blue Obelisk in Ark Survival Evolved, typically in different corners of the map.ย

Each Obelisk allows you to do a few things:

  • Summon bosses
  • Crafting
  • Transferring

Let’s talk a bit about each thing.ย

Summoning Bosses

Summoning a boss at any of the Obelisks in Ark Survival Evolved can take quite a bit of time. You must collect a particular set of Artifacts and Tributes to summon them. Additionally, there are three levels of bosses that you can summon. The Green Obelisk Summons the Gamma boss, the Blue Obelisk summons the Beta boss, and the Red Obelisk Summons the Alpha boss. The Green Obelisk Boss is the easiest, and the Red Obelisk Boss is the hardest.ย

Each map has different bosses that can be summoned:

  • Corrupted Master Controller
  • King Titan
  • Moeder, Master of the Ocean
  • Broodmother Lystrix
  • Crystal Wyvern Queen
  • Dragon
  • Manticore
  • Megapithecus
  • Overseer
  • Rockwell
  • Rockwell Node
  • Rockwell Prime

Crafting

The Obelisks inย Ark Survival Evolved don’t offer many options in the way of Crafting. However, the choices they do offer are essential. Assuming you have the required resources, you can head to one of the Obelisks and insert your resources into its inventory. Now, you can craft a Tek Replicator, Cryopods, and a Cryofridge. These items have significant end-game uses and shouldn’t be overlooked.

Transferring

The Obelisks in Ark Survival Evolved offer character data transmission. You can save and upload your character data to the Obelisk, then transfer it to a different map or server. Additionally, you can upload creatures and items into the Obelisk to send them to other servers and maps with you. Now that you know how Obelisks work in Ark Survival Evolved, make sure to use them to your advantage.
