Learning how to ascend in Ark Survival Evolved and defeat all the bosses can be a huge game changer. While running around and grinding for resources makes up the bulk of the game, there’s more to it. There is even an end in sight; a way for you to complete the game. However, obtaining completion only truly happens through ascension, and to ascend, there’s quite a bit that you must do. Ascending is learning the true nature of the ARK and defeating every boss the game has to offer. Keep reading to learn how to ascend inย Ark Survival Evolved.
Bosses Required to Ascend in Ark Survival Evolved
Aside from Scorched Earth, a few ARK story maps throughout the game have a set of bosses you can defeat. Once you’ve defeated them all, you can ascend in Ark Survival Evolved and complete the game officially, though you can still play after, so don’t worry. Completing the ascension will allow you to raise your max player level to 190. There are other ways to increase it further, maxing out at level 215.
To complete The Island, you must take down the Overseer. The Overseer is different from the other bosses, as it is found in the Tek Cave rather than with the other bosses in the Obelisks. You can find the Tek Cave in the Volcano. However, to access the cave, you must defeat the Broodmother, the Megapithecus, and the Dragon and have the corresponding trophies. Once you’ve obtained each of the trophies, head to the Terminal in the Volcano and input them, allowing you access to the Tek Cave and the Overseer Arena.
To complete Abberation, you must defeat Rockwell. Rockwell is below the Grave of the Lost within the Terminal. However, to get to the Rockwell Arena, you must obtain the Artifact of the Depths, the Artifact of the Shadows, and the Artifact of the Stalker. Once you’ve obtained all three Artifacts and have them with you, head to the Grave of the Lost and spawn in Rockwell to defeat him and get closer to ascending in Ark Survival Evolved.
To complete Extinction and get your Ark Survival Evolved ascension, you must defeat the King Titan. The King Titan is in the Forbidden Zone within the Terminal. You will no longer have a Specimen Implant when you defeat King Titan. Instead, you will have a Homo Deus Record. Depending on the level of the King Titan, you will have a Gamma, Beta, or Alpha Homo Deus Record.
To complete Genesis: Part 1, you must take on and defeat the Corrupted Master Controller. To do this, you will interact with HLN-A and choose “The Final Test.” This will take you to the Corrupted Master Controller fight. If you fought the King Titan already, you would get your Specimen Implant back, but with an attachment now.
To complete Genesis: Part 2, you must defeat Rockwell Prime, the new and improved version of Rockwell. You can find Rockwell Prine in the Genesis Ship. Once you’ve defeated Rockwell Prime along with all the other bosses, you will have achieved ascension inย Ark Survival Evolved.ย
