Guardians keeping up to date with the quests of Season of Defiance will eventually be assigned “Awaken, Queensguard” inย Destiny 2. Mara Sov, the Queen of the Reef, is in need of assistance. However, your mission isn’t as simple as speaking to her or clearing a single assignment. Quest participants must get through a few briefings and intergalactic trips to accomplish the “Awaken, Queensguard” quest. Fortunately, the five objectives involved are relatively straightforward. Guardians who’ve already unlocked theย quest locationsย should take no less than 20 or so minutes to complete everything and receive their reward.
Completing Awaken Queensguard Quest in Destiny 2
To get started on the “Awaken, Queensguard”ย quest inย Destiny 2, you must have completed the initial mission of earning the respect of Nimbus. This notable Cloud Strider will grant you access to their Reputation rewards, as well as the quest involving Mara Sov’s dire situation on the EDZ.ย

The first step of “Awaken, Queensguard” requires Guardians to travel to Neomuna on the planet Neptune. With the Director map open, select the Striders’ Gate near the Hall of Heroes and fast travel to the location. For reference, this is the same skyscraper canopy where you encounter Nimbus. Instead of walking to Nimbus at their desk, go down the initial stairwell and take a right to find the quest’s Holoprojector. Listen to Mara Sov’s briefing to continue.
Following the instructions of Mara Sov, reopen your intergalactic map and select the EDZ. In the upper right corner, you’ll find a fast-travel point called The Farm, which sits to the right of The Sludge. After arrival, walk to the nearby clearing to encounter Mara Sov. She’ll be occupied emitting a fancy light show perfect for in-game screenshots. Devrim Kay and Misraaks will appear and share some friendly words, after which you need to listen to another briefing.
From Mara Sov’s glowing spectacle, head to the right to find another Holoprojector at The Farm. Interact with it to receive some intel from Devrim Kay about a planned rescue mission.
This rescue mission is the fourth step of the “Awaken, Queensguard” quest inย Destiny 2ย and takes place in the Defiant Battleground: EDZ. This activity can be selected below the Outskirts of the EDZ map.ย
Finally, return to theย War Table of the H.E.L.M.ย to complete the five-step quest and receive your reward. The primary prize will be a Legendary Power Sword known as the Caretaker, a solid weapon for activities in the Season of Defiance.
