Road to the Singularity quest is one of the latest quests introduced with the Genshin Impact 4.1 Update. This quest is a bit of a long quest with few puzzles to solve. The quest takes place inside Fontaine Research Institute. You must be prepared to defeat some Clockwork Mekas and solve some puzzles. However, it is not too hard to complete. And you can complete it quickly if you know what to do.
Guide For Completing Road to the Singularity Quest In Genshin Impact
The quest has no prerequisites, meaning you do not need to complete any other quest to unlock this one. You can complete the Road to the Singularity quest by following the below steps.
- Release Kuisel from the cage.
- Escape from the cage with the help of Paimon.
- Solve the Valve Puzzle.
- Solve the Gear Puzzle.
- Defeat Coutrot.
1. Releasing Kuisel From the Cage
You need to enter from the cave and get on the automated lift. Once you get to the automated lift, you will get the Road to the Singularity quest in Genshin Impact. Get the Ousia Block at the right side of the room and attack the yellow device at the entrance. Then you can enter to the lift. Once you activate the lift, it will take you to Kuisel’s Clockwork Workshop. Follow the path, and you will find Kuisel inside a locked cage.
After a brief discussion with Kuisel, you must solve the Energy Transfer Terminal Puzzle to get him out. First, interact with the terminal near the cage and get a different screen. Then, transfer the energy to the second terminal to the right. Then, select the next one on the top of the metal door and activate the red device near the cage. Then, exit the screen and open the door of the cage.
2. Escaping From The Cage With The Help Of Paimon
Once you free Kuisel, he will ask you to switch places with him, and you will realize only after some time that you have been tricked and locked in the cage. To get out of the cage, you must get the help of Paimon. You have to direct Paimon by selecting the following dialogues.
- Try the terminal by the cage.
- Activate the energy storage device by the door.
- Activate the energy storage device by the cage.
Then the door will open, and you can leave the cage and proceed to the next stage of the Road To The Singularity quest in Genshin Impact
3. Solving the Valve Puzzle
You can proceed further through the opened metal door and come to another area with a locked door. You have to shut down all the valves to open this door. Step on the platforms to the left from the entrance, and there are two valves. Rotate them until gas leaks are stopped. Then, jump down to the ground below.
Get the Pneuma Block behind the large pipe and use it near Ousia. Then, pick up the device and place it near the cage. This will open the door, and you can use the gear inside to rotate the third Valve nearby. Rotate it three times, and the gas leak will stop. To shut down the final Valve, go up the ladder to the platform above, and Rotate it two times. This will complete the puzzle, and you can open the door.

4. Solving the Gear Puzzles
Once you enter from the open door, you must defeat two Clockwork Mekas. After dealing with them, get on the lift and go to the next level. Then, you will eventually come to an area with many gears. The door to the exit is up on the wall, and you will have to solve the puzzle to get there. There are two puzzles. Eventhough the first one is easy, the second one is a bit tricky to solve.
- Puzzle 01: To solve this, you must move the wheel down and rotate it until two pipes are connected.
- Puzzle 02: First, bring the wheel down and rotate the pipe to the right to the correct position. Then again, bring the wheel back and rotate the second pipe until it becomes vertical. After that, move the pipe to the location, and it will connect two pipes and solve the puzzle.
Then you can fly to the open door above and enter from it.
5. Defeating Coutrot
Once you enter from the door, follow the path, and at the end of the path, there are two Clockwork Mekas you must defeat. Once you defeat both, you must get to the platform below and solve another gear puzzle. However, it is not difficult since you have to connect two pipes by rotating them.
Then get to the previous platform from the ladder and open the path from the device. After that, defeat all Clockwork Mekas and follow the path until you find another lift. Once you get to the next level from the lift, you will meet Bricole and Kuisel. You will learn from Bricole that Kuisel is Coutrot, and he has done many dangerous, harmful experiments in the workshop.
So, Coutrot and his Clockwork Mekas will start to attack you, and you will have to defeat them. Then, after a brief discussion with Bricole, you can complete the Road to the Singularity quest in Genshin Impact. You will receive 50x Primogem, 3x Mystic Enhancement Ore, 34 K x Mora, and 5x Hero’s Wit as rewards.
