This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Russian Gas DMZ mission is the final assignment of the White Lotus faction in Tier 5. This mission tasks you to find secret items and head over to various locations of the dangerous Koschei Complex. You’ll need to find the Vondel gas sample and the Russian Gas Sample items in this DMZ mission, and they’re each in a different location. Ready for the mission, soldier? Let’s get right into it.

What Are The Objectives of The Russian Gas DMZ Mission?

  • Find and extract the Vondel Gas Sample.
  • Find the Russian Gas Sample.
  • Validate both Gas Sample items at the External Ops location of the Koschei Complex in DMZ.

Now, as you can see, the objectives of the Russian Gas DMZ mission look pretty straight. This is because we have tried to retell the story from a more understandable perspective. However, the steps for completing this mission are still the same. But regardless of how complicated these objectives might be, we’ll show you exactly how to complete this mission quickly in this guide. Now let’s start with the first step, finding the Vondel Gas Sample in DMZ.

Where to Find Vondel Gas Sample in DMZ?

So the first step here is to find the Vondel Gas Sample, which will definitely be in the Vondel map. Head over to this new DMZ map, and find the location you see in the image above. It’s located on the west side of Vondel, near the Fire Station POI. Here you’ll find a maze that you can enter from different angles. However, you can just jump on top of its greenish walls and look for what you want to find inside it. Didn’t we mention it? The Vondel Gas Sample item is somewhere hidden inside this maze!

You need to note that the Vondel Gas Sample is always in this area but doesn’t have a certain place to be. It might be on any entry of this maze. However, the maze itself is not big, and you can just search it in a few minutes. Remember that other online players might be looking for this item, so an unwanted conflict will probably happen. Now after you’ve found the item, extract with it in your backpack.

Where to Find The Russian Gas in DMZ?

The Russian Gas Sample is located inside the Koschei Complex’s Oasis entry. This is your second step for completing the Russian Gas DMZ mission, and remember that before deploying into Al Mazrah, you have to bring that Vondel Gas Sample with you. Next, just head over to the D2 area on your tac-map, and you’ll find a secret entry to the Koschei Complex, as you can also see in the image above.

When inside, you must proceed through gas bunkers and doors with airlocks. Once you reach the final area, four doors will be in front of you to open. You can open these airlocks by just pressing the interaction button and waiting beside them. But remember that this area is polluted with radiation and gas, so you’ll either need a radiation blocker or a gas mask to proceed without dying.

Inside these bunkers, you’ll find the Russian Gas Sample lying around. Pick the item, and store it in your backpack. This marks the completion of the second objective of the Russian Gas DMZ mission, and you can continue to the final assignment.

How to Validate The Gas Samples?

This one is a little tricky to uncode if you don’t know what the title means. Let’s make it easy; Proceed until you reach the dark area of the Chemical Plant, and look for a door that has a sign of “A1” above it. This bunker is the Rohan Oil entrance of the Koschei Complex, and you can enter it by just pressing its button. This is while other online players might have opened this bunker before you do so. Keep in mind that the enemy players might be behind the A1 bunker. So before just running toward the door and pressing the open button, check the area, and listen to proximity chat.

Now once you get inside this sector, you can see that it’s called the External Ops area. Go all the way to the right, and then look for some radio-looking devices standing by the wall. Here you’ll just find an interaction button area, and once you push its button, the Russian Gas DMZ mission will be complete. Remember that both the Vondel and Russian Gas Samples should be in your backpack while pressing that final button in DMZ.
