The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now available, reintroducing familiar faces like Duskull, the Grim Reaper-inspired Ghost-type. While catching Duskull is straightforward, evolving it from Dusclops into Dusknoir is the real challenge. However, you are in the right place if you have already caught Duskull and evolved it into Dusclops, as we got it covered. Dusclops evolves at special terms that must be met in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC. You won’t need to level up your Pokemon, but it demands a different approach.

To evolve Dusclops into the mighty Dusknoir, you’ll need the elusive Reaper Cloth. Here are two ways to obtain it:

  1. Venture to the central part of the Timeless Woods. You will find yourself in an open field where you will need to search for a shining drop item in between the green and white plants.
  2. As an alternative method, you need to capture 170 different Pokemon within the Kitakami region. This achievement will grant you the Reaper Cloth.

Now that you got the Reaper Cloth follow these simple steps to evolve Dusclops in the Teal Mask:

  1. From your inventory, give the Reaper Cloth to Dusclops. It must hold this item for the evolution to work.
  2. ย You now need to find a friend who also plays Pokรฉmon Scarlet and Violet. The next step involves some simple trading.
  3. Initiate a trade with your friend. Make sure Dusclops is part of the trade, and it must be holding the Reaper Cloth.
  4. During the trade, Dusclops will evolve into Dusknoir. Just make sure your friend is willing to trade back the evolved Dusknoir.

If you are struggling with this way, you are in luck cause there is another way to evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir, and it doesn’t involve trading. However, you need to be deeply involved with the franchise:

  • First, you’ll need Pokรฉmon Legends: Arceus and Pokรฉmon HOME to make this method work.
  • Begin by transferring your Dusclops from Pokรฉmon Scarlet or Violet to Pokรฉmon HOME.
  • Once in Pokรฉmon Legends: Arceus, locate your Dusclops and use the Reaper Cloth on it. This action will trigger its evolution into Dusknoir.
  • After successfully evolving Dusclops, return Dusknoir from Pokรฉmon Legends: Arceus to Pokรฉmon HOME.

This is all you need to know about evolving Dusclops into Dusknoir in The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask is available on Nintendo Switch.
