Before you can search for Gorgimera, you’ll need to complete the story quest Across the Narrow. When you do, you’ll have access to the Tricephalic Terror search. When the prerequisites are met, make your way to Velkroy Desert, which is located in the Dhalmekian Republic. To get there, use the fast-travel feature to get to the Velkroy Desert Obelisk, then continue in a southerly direction. Soon, you’ll notice a giant monster with wings, and this is Gorgimera. Get closer to it to start the cutscene.

How To Beat Gorgimera in Final Fantasy 16

As mentioned above, you will face a long and difficult battle, as this is an S-rank enemy among the other Notorious Marks. In general, there are several bosses of this rank, and Gorgimera is considered the weakest among them. To defeat this enemy, you will need to try hard and prepare for the battle. Stock up on all the necessary consumables so that you can regenerate HP in case of trouble. The enemy has a few basic skills that they will try to use to hit you. Below is a list of them and ways to avoid them.

The Dragon’s Voice and the Ram’s Voice

These two attacks are interconnected because the enemy will use them sequentially. As soon as you see circular electric fields appearing on the battlefield, it means that the enemy is using the Dragon’s Voice attack. If you don’t get out of the radius of these circles in time, you will be hit by lightning in a few seconds. If you have avoided the attack and are close to the monster, be careful because now it will use the next attack, namely Ram’s Voice. Try to get away from Gorgimera because this ability creates ice spikes around the enemy that will damage you.

Delta Attack

When Gorgimera uses this attack, three elemental pillars will form on the battlefield and move toward the center of the position you are in, and you need to try your best to avoid them. You will be able to do this because the pillars will move quite slowly, and you will have time to dodge and then counterattack.

Delta Force

Delta Force is an identical attack to the previous one but four times larger. Now there will be 12 pillars of nature on the battlefield instead of 3. It won’t be as easy to dodge, so at this point, focus on defense and evasion. This attack is powerful because it opens after Gorgimera loses 50% HP and enters the second phase.

In addition to its abilities, the boss has a basic attack where it breathes fire in one direction. Dodging it is easy; move away from the direction of the fire and get close to the Gorgimera to deal damage.

Generally speaking, all you have to do to win a battle is dodge quickly. Don’t forget to use your Eikonic Abilities as a counterattack as well. By using these strategies, you can defeat it and obtain generous rewards.

Here are the rewards you get after defeating the boss:

  • Ability Points x120
  • Experience x15000
  • Orichalcum x1

Also, Hunt Completion Rewards:

  • Renown x50
  • Gil x20000
