One of the new World Quests added to Genshin Impact is Search the Algae Sea, which contains multiple sub-quests. One of them is to break four seals by solving a series of puzzles. So, here is how to find and break the four seals as part of the Search the Algae Sea quest in Genshin Impact.
How to Break All Four Seals in Genshin Impact
There are four sub-quests in Search of the Algae Sea that you must complete to finish this World Quest. In each of the objectives you must complete an Orthant’s puzzle, which will reward you with a Luxurious. The first seal you have to break is part of Muse’s Mother sub-quest.
Muse’s Mother Seal
For the first portion of this quest, all you have to do is follow the marker the game has set for you. There will be enemies that you can either defeat or just pass through them. Interact with the energy flow mechanism to open the gates by rotating them.
Eventually, you will reach the Orthant’s puzzle. To solve it all you have to do is interact with the different devices to open the valve for energy to flow. One of them, however, will be locked behind a gate. To open the gate, first hit the crystal and operate the valve using Xenochromatic skill to raise the beam. Then, wait for the beam to come down and hit the crystal when it is at the same level as the grey ball.
Now, use the lift to lower the flow mechanism and eventually activate it to let the last bits of energy flow into the large machine at the center. Climb the large machine and interact with the crystal at the top. You will see a cutscene and get your reward and this part of the quest is complete.
Meteoric Lance
For the second puzzle, travel to the Fort Charybdis Ruins. Defeat the enemies first so they won’t intervene with the puzzle-solving part of the quest. To reach the main room, you must raise the gate by aligning two pillars with Eliphas Beam on the right side. Once both pillars are aligned, the gate will be open and you can use the lift to reach the main room.
There will be an enemy waiting for you before reaching the puzzle. Defeat it and head straight to reach the second Orthant’s puzzle. Head to the other side of it and you will see one of the mechanisms that releases water is blocked behind a gate. Lower the two pillars that are blocking the beam. It is best to lower a bit of each instead of lowering one all the way and then the other.
Once the gate is open, defeat the enemy and interact with the lift to reach the lower level. There, you will see the mechanism that will release the water. All you have to do here is to rotate the blocks so the water will reach the platform you just lowered.
Once you’ve done that, the Seelie will appear. Follow her underwater to get an Exquisite Chest. Near the Seelie court, there will be another mechanism that can be activated by simply rotating the blocks to allow the water to flow in. Lastly, use the Ray skill to cut the vines and head up to get the Luxurious Chest and as well as interact with the machine to finish this sub-quest as well.
Cupid’s Lover Seal in Genshin Impact
To reach the third sub-quest simply go to where the game has pointed out. You will see another mechanism that must be activated by releasing water from two sources on both sides of the entrance. Once you get inside, you will see the first mechanism straight away.
Interact with it and follow the flow until you reach the second machine, only to realize it is locked behind a gate that requires a Special Key. To find the key you must head to the left side, drop down and enter the room where you have to solve a puzzle, and then head left once again.
Use the lift to reach the upper level where you will see another mechanism that must be activated. Behind that, you will see a shiny item near a window which is the Special Key we need. Along the way make sure you activate this mechanism as well.
Now, use the lift to go down and then head to the other room to solve the next puzzle. The mechanism of this puzzle will be underwater, but there is no trick to complete it. All you have to do is open the gates and reach the mechanism to activate it. Then, rotate the blocks to allow the water to reach the lift which you must take to reach the upper level.
Now, go back the use the key to open the gate in order to release the last line of water into the mechanism. Once that is done, climb it and interact with the top of the mechanism to finish the third sub-quest as well.
Thalia and Melpomene
Same as before, follow the objective marker to reach the location of the last Seal in Search in the Algae Sea quest. The first mechanism is just across the entrance so make sure you activate that first before going to solve the next puzzles. Go straight ahead until you reach two more mechanisms down below. Simply activate and rotate the blocks to release the water.
Now, take the lift and head to the upper level. Activate the mechanism to let the water in and head straight to enter the underwater world. Swim underneath the mechanism until you see some breakable rocks and near that, you can spot the valve you must activate. Break the rocks and activate it to let the water flow. Rotate the rocks that are stopping its path.
Follow the flow of water until you reach the next room. You will face some enemies here which you must fight. Then, use the lift to head upstairs and lastly activate the mechanism to release the water. Now, head back to the underwater room, climb the top of the mechanism at the center, and interact with it.
