Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter adventure fans have long craved. It’s a wizarding role-play experience, offering players the chance to cast iconic spells from the franchise. That includes the infamous Unforgivable Curses, which can be used to one-shot enemies instantly. Of course, you’ll need to find enemies first. Here we’ll explain where they can be found, and some of the best locations to farm them for more XP.

Just like any other RPG, the map of Hogwarts Legacy is littered with enemies, if you know where to look for them. While you’ll be able to spot some enemies on your minimap that are represented as a red triangle, you can also go to certain areas to find them. The best places to find enemies in Hogwarts Legacy are Bandit Camps and Spider Caves. Many people prefer the former as spiders are quite creepy in this title, but both places will let you fight with all the spells you have.

Thankfully, you can find most of these places easily. The best way to do it is by going to your world map and checking the icons that you have. Spider Caves have a cave icon whereas Bandit Camps have a tent icon. You can add a waypoint to these areas and head there on your broom or your favorite mount.

If you’re going, remember to prepare yourself ahead of the fight. While the normal difficulty isn’t too hard, if you crank it up a notch, you’ll find out that you’ll need potions and different spells. Even if you’ve reached max level already, never forget to brew some potions inside your Room of Requirement first. After that, all you have to do is find the enemy icons on the map and head there. This is also a good way to level up, but you’ll be grinding a lot. Either way, the combat is fantastic and it is worth trying at every chance you get.

Best Enemies to Farm XP

Honestly, while finding enemies out in the wilderness is useful, the best place to actually farm XP via combat is the Battle Arenas. There are several located throughout Hogwarts, offering players the opportunity to hone their skills by battling against successive waves of enemies. These arenas are not only replayable but also serve as a source of experience points (XP) for each wave you conquer. Additionally, completing the Duelling Feats objectives in these arenas rewards you with bonus XP.

Players can access two of these arenas in North Ford Bog and Irondale. There’s also a special Dark Arts Battle Arena, exclusive to those who pre-ordered the game, situated in the North Hogwarts Region. You have the freedom to choose any Battle Arena to revisit. Engaging in these arenas allows you to efficiently accumulate XP, accelerating your leveling-up process and refining your combat techniques.
