Rope is one of the more difficult resources to make yourself, but you have to know how to find it in Sons of the Forest. Used in the crafting of bows and other various weapons and structures, rope is something that you can’t get through the game without. In this guide, we’ll talk about how to find rope and what you can do with it. Keep reading to learn how to find rope in Sons of the Forest.

You can find rope in quite a few different places throughout the map, which means the easiest way to get rope is to collect it from different locations. No matter where you spawn within the game, there should be an enemy camp within fairly close proximity that will contain at least 2 or 3 piles of rope. For instance, if you spawn in the snowy mountain area, the camp where you can find rope is located above you. All you have to do is follow the stream up the mountain, and you will find a frozen lake with a couple of tents around it. If you search through the camp, you will find a few piles of rope.

You can also find rope in cannibal camps just as easily. However, they can be pretty dangerous, so be careful when looking for rope in these areas. Along with rope, you will be able to find quite a few other resources that are hard to make as well. Sometimes you can pick up cloth, watches, and even food and energy drinks as well when you visit cannibal camps.

Another of the places you can find rope in-game are 3D printing rooms, which can be found where the green blinking marks on your map are. When you arrive in these areas, there won’t be too much available. However, occasionally you can pick up some pretty decent loot in these areas, including rope.

You can see the locations here.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
