In order to progress through the Citadelle des Morts main easter egg in Black Ops 6 Zombies, you need to get the elemental swords, and then unlock their incantations upgrade by completing another quest. So, to keep things from being overly confusing, we’ve prepared a full guide on how to find and get the elemental powers of each of the swords in the link highlighted above. And now for the light, lightning, dark, and fire incantation upgrades, you can follow the full guide below to upgrade your swords in Citadelle des Morts.
How To Upgrade The Dragon Fire Sword in Citadelle des Morts
To obtain the fire sword incantation upgrade, you need to burn three different crates that are all in the rampart area of the castle where you shoot down the main door. The images below are all three crates marked so that you can easily spot them.
Now, you need to ignite these by either using the Fire Sword itself or molotov cocktails. Every time you burn one of these, a bunch of zombies spawn and you have to deal with them.
Once you’re done butchering the undead forces, you can then start a ritual down right in front of the armory. Once enough zombies souls are sacrificed by killing them near that yellow area, a golden chest will spawn containing the fire incantation upgrade for your dragon fire sword in Citadelle des Morts. You need to open it with the sword, though.
How To Upgrade The Raven Dark Sword in Citadelle des Morts
For the dark incantation upgrade of the raven sword in Citadelle des Morts you actually have to shoot down a raven. I like these dark creatures so much, but well, we have no other choice but to shoot one of them. Caw!
So first, head to the Pack-A-Punch machine and head left into the lower area. Now, there’s a sewer fast travel option here which you have to take, but be advised that the raven we’re looking for is hiding in here.
Once you’re about to reach the end, you’ll see the raven sitting on a rock to your right. Act fast and shoot it. It’ll fly away outside and you’ll then have to shoot it so that it explodes and drops you its talon. If you’re using a shotgun, sorry, you need something that can take down this long-range target.
Pick up the talon, and head back to the Pack-A-Punch machine, then head downstairs. Now, head over to this yellow symbol you see on the ground, and donate the talon to it so that it starts a ritual.
This is just a soul box and you need to kill as many zombies as it needs to finish it. Once it’s done, a golden box emerges and you can claim your dark incantation upgrade for your raven sword from the inside in Citadelle des Morts.
How To Upgrade The Lion Light Sword in Citadelle des Morts
The lion sword is the easiest to achieve and its light incantation upgrade is just there to cheese in Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle des Morts. It starts from the knights’ room where you find the Bastard swords.
From here, look for this crystal above and shoot it. It’ll reflect its beam to another crystal, and it’ll also have an off-target light beside it. So, what you need to do is to stand right in front of that light, and shoot the crystal that’s beaming the laser. The images above show most of the locations where you need to stand and shoot the crystal from the beginning to the end, which results in getting inside a room and picking an amulet from a statue.
Now, head outside and place the amulet right here. This will start a soul box quest and you need to kill a bunch of zombies to fill it up. That’s it. The golden chest for your light incantation upgrade of the lion sword appears and you can open it by swinging the light sword at it in Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle des Morts.
How To Upgrade The Stag Lightning Sword in Citadelle des Morts
To upgrade the Stag Lightning sword with its lightning incantation item in Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle des Morts, you’ll have to head into the Citadelle des Morts stable beside the Deadshot Daiquiri.
Shoot this horseshoe down, pick it up, and then go to the canon in the rampart area of the castle. Here, you’ll have to launch yourself using the canon as a fast travel machine.
Once you do that, a storm cloud will spawn on either the right or the left side of the spawn area. This is where you find the charged Pegasus Horseshoe.
Deliver the item to this symbol on the left side of the spawn area, and it’ll start a soul box quest. Same drill as the others, kill as many zombies as it takes to finish the job.
Once it’s done you’ll have your lightning incantation upgrade for the stag sword right inside this golden box in Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle des Morts.
How To Use Sword Incantation Attacks in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Once you complete any of the sword quests above and open any of the golden chests, you can then pick the incantation item in there. This will replace your tactical equipment, which means you can use the incantation attacks by pressing the L1/LT button using any of the four elements in Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle des Morts. Remember, you’ll only receive two of these attacks from each chest, but the chests recharge every round.
