Nowadays, games have become more expensive and release more often with shorter distances from one to another. As a result, getting all the games yourself and playing becomes an arduous task. Even though Xbox has a Game Pass service that provides tons of games, there are still titles that don’t appear on the service after a long time, like GTA 5. Speaking of Xbox, they have also updated their Home UI. You can share your library with a friend on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Accordingly, let’s go over how to gameshare on these consoles.

Before we jump into how you can game share on Xbox consoles, it is essential to understand that you only can do this with a family member or a trusted friend. That is because you have to share your accounts, which could cause problems if you share your account with someone untrustworthy.

That said, to share your library with another friend, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings on your home page.
  2. Navigate to the Profile & System tab.
  3. Select the ‘Add or Switch’ option.
  4. Choose ‘Add New’ and login into your friend’s account.

This means you have to ask your friend to give you their Xbox ID and password so you can log in. That is why you should not share your game with people you don’t know.

  2. Navigate to ‘General’ and select ‘Personalization,’ which leads to a list of options.
  3. Select ‘My Home Xbox‘ at the bottom and then select ‘Make this my home Xbox.’

Now, to access each other’s library, you have to also give your Xbox ID and password to your friend. They have to do all these steps as well. Once both accounts have done that, then you and your friend will have access to each other’s library to gameshare on Xbox.
