There are loads of different structures you can build in Sons of the Forest, like the Drying Rack that we will be learning how to get today. Many different structures you build within the game have important uses, and each aids in your survival a little bit. The Drying Rack is definitely one of these structures that can be pretty helpful. Even though it is for drying food, it is considered a storage structure and can also help you store extra food. Keep reading to learn how to get a Drying Rack in Sons of the Forest.
Sons of the Forest: How to Get a Drying Rack
In order to get a Drying Rack, you will have to collect some resources and build it from your survival guide build menu. Like most of the structures in Sons of the Forest, the build requirements aren’t too high either. In order to bring up your crafting menu, m you need to use the “B” key. Then, head over to the alternate mode by holding down the “X” key. Once you’ve switched modes, head to the storage tab, marked with an arrow in a dotted-line box. Tap the “Storage” button on the bottom righthand side of the survival guide until you reach the page pictured above.
Once you’ve found the Drying Rack in the Survival Guide, select the picture so that you can place the blueprint for it on the ground where you wish to build it. It will look like the picture above.
Now, you will need to gather 13 sticks to make the drying rack, then place them on the blueprint for it. This can be done by walking up to it with the sticks in your inventory and pressing the “E” key to place them. Once you’ve filled all the stick slots in the Drying Rack, it will be complete, and you can use it.
Not only does the Drying Rack provide some extra food storage space, but it also allows you to preserve some of your fresh meat and fish so that they will last longer in your inventory, and it also leaves food out for Kelvin and Virginia to eat when they are tired or hungry.
