The Cyberpunk 2077 endings are diverse, but Phantom Liberty DLC adds even more variety. You can take two main paths. From there, you’ll eventually experience variations in the endings. One even leads to a dramatic change for V in the base game. If you don’t mind spoilers, we will address all Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty endings. Discover what you may have missed in the expansion pack and the steps you can take to witness something new play out for V.

Before you reach any ending in Phantom Liberty, remember there is no point of no return. In the base game, you could always reload to the auto-save right before meeting Hanako. However, there’s no such luck in the DLC.

So, if you want to experience all Phantom Liberty endings in Cyberpunk 2077, make a save prior to the quests “I’ve Seen That Face Before,” “Firestarter,” or anytime during when you can. The important thing is that you save before reaching the point where you decide Songbird’s fate.

With that out of the way, let’s explain the diverging ending paths in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty:

  • Help Songbird escape | I’m with you
  • Help Reed capture Songbird | One more second…

Whichever one you choose, the following missions greatly vary. Something else to keep in mind is that one or more of the characters you’ve met in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will die no matter which ending you choose.

Songbird wants to reach the moon, so let’s help her get there. Once you decide to help her in Phantom Liberty, you’ll placed on her specific Cyberpunk 2077 ending questline. The mission is aptly titled “The Killing Moon.”

What an intense mission. Alex will kill Kurt Hansen without any regard, and you’ll face off against NUSA agents. It’s thrilling, though. As you half-carry Songbird to safety, V unleashes Blackwall, decimating enemies.

Through this Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty ending, Songbird admits to betraying you. She plans to use the cure for herself since it’s a one-time use.

Once she loses consciousness, you have two choices:

  • Continue to help Songbird
  • Call Reed and hand her over

If you help Songbird, you have one last chance to hand her over when confronting Reed in person. Continuing to aid Songbird will require you to kill Reed. You are also locked out of the new base game ending and will instead get one of the usual ones.

If you hand her over to Reed, you either take the cure or reject it. Not taking the cure puts you back on the path of the OG Cyberpunk 2077 endings, but Phantom Liberty gives you yet another chance. Reed can text V, and you can accept the cure then. If you do, you will get the new epilogue.

Do you take Songbird for a fool? In this Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty ending, Songbird sees right through you if you decide to help Reed. She detects the ICEbreaker, Alex is killed, and Songbird goes on a cyberpsycho rampage.

You’ll have a ridiculously tough battle with Kurt Hansen, so go into this route prepared. Once you find Songbird, you have two choices:

  • Kill her
  • Save her

If you respect her wishes and end her life, Reed is understandably upset. It causes Meyers to void the deal too. So, V will experience one of the other Cyberpunk 2077 endings rather than the new one from Phantom Liberty. If you save her, Meyers will hold up her end of the deal and give V the cure.

A V that takes the deal with Reed and Meyers will witness the uniquely new ending. It completely changes the course of the game as V is completely cured. However, V is stripped of all cyberware and wakes up after a 2-year coma.

So, there’s no more Johnny Silverhand, but what’s left of the real V? Well, you’re not dying. That’s something. But it’s been years, and no one you knew then is the same anymore. There’s a reason the epilogue quest is titled “Things Done Changed.”

We don’t want to spoil the rest pertaining to your friends. V can reach out, and they have some interesting things to say, especially your love interest. It’s the very definition of a bittersweet ending.
