There are many items and materials to collect in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which can become overwhelming at first. One of the materials players can find in the sequel game to Breath of the Wild is Zonaite. This is a material players will find early on in the game, but it can only be found in certain places. Some players also might have collected some Zonaite and wonder what it is supposed to be used for. This guide will teach players how to get and use Zonaite in Tears of the Kingdom.

Zonaite can be found and mined from what are called Zonaite Deospits throughout Tears of the Kingdom, they are shiny rocks that players can smash. When players are near them they will sparkle with a blue tint and that’s when the player can swing their weapon at it. Once it is broken down Zonaite will fall from the rocks. Usually about three spawn, but if lucky, maybe four. Zonaite can only be found from the Mining Cave on the Great Sky Island which is where players start out or underneath Hyrule.

It will be a very smart choice for players to collect Zonaite as they see it because it is used to create some pretty cool and important things. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is very driven on collecting things for benefit, so collect all you can.

When Zonaite is collected for the first time, players will see this pop-up on their screen explaining what it is and what it does. It says it can be used for crafting weapons and armor, but it can actually be used for more than just that. The Forge Construct will explain how Zonaite can be used to create what are called Zonai charges which power things like Zonai devices and constructs. These will come in handy more than you think throughout your journey. When in the mines on Great Sky Island, players can trade Zonaite to a Forge Construct down there for these Zonai devices.

Zonaite can also be used at the Device Dispenser which works like a gumball machine. These will also provide other Zonai devices that players will find come in handy. For example, this is how materials needed to get around can be held in little gumball bubbles and later spawned when needed. That’s everything to know about how to get and use Zonaite in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
