As you progress through Starfield, you will have to collect many unique materials because if you forget about the plot for a moment, building and crafting are the most important mechanics of this game. Of course, at first, you wonโ€™t have to worry about anything other than materials for building outposts and upgrading your ship. But later in the story, you will unlock stations such as Industrial or Spacesuit Workbenches, and you will not be able to do without Cosmetics. With this material, you can craft Polytextile and many useful Spacesuit mods. So, we are here to help you and tell you how to get Cosmetic in Starfield.

Starfield: All Ways To Get Cosmetic

First of all, it is worth noting that you can get Cosmetic in Starfield in two ways:

  • Firstly, you can buy this material by visiting most vendors at trade outlets.
  • Secondly, you can find Cosmetics as a random drop.

If you have just started your Starfield journey and don’t want to spend too much time searching, purchasing Cosmetics is a great solution. You can find this consumable in the Resources tab of almost any general goods merchant. The Cosmetic cost is only 8 Credits, and the supply of vendors rarely exceeds 20 units of this product.

If you need more than what is available, sit on the nearest chair and wait 24-48 hours. This time will be enough for the seller to replenish the assortment, and you can buy more of the necessary material. As for the location of vendors, you can find them in all big cities and space stations, but here are a few places you can visit soon after the adventure begins:

  • The UC Distribution Center – New Atlantis (Jemison planet in the Alpha Centauri System)
  • Jemison Mercantile – New Atlantis (Jemison planet in the Alpha Centauri System)
  • The UC Exchange – Cydonia (Mars planet in the Sol System)
  • Shepard’s General Store – Akila City (Akila planet in the Cheyenne System)

Additionally, you can find Cosmetics in Starfield as a random drop. You can receive Cosmetics as a reward by visiting abandoned locations on hundreds of planets, searching the corpses of enemies, and even attacking spaceships. And while it is a relatively cheap material and you will find it quite often, this method is still based on luck, so you should take it as a nice bonus.
