Given the entire progression system has recently been given an overhaul, many players are wondering how to get Kingdom Credits (KC) in Valorant. Similar to other online multiplayer games, Riot’s tac-shooter has in-game currencies that can be used to redeem various items, such as gun buddies and player cards. For the launch of Episode 7, there’s an all-new one called Kingdom Credits. Let’s explain exactly what they’re for and how to get more of them.

You can get Kingdom Credits without spending a dime of your real money in the game. It’s a decent way to use your playing time to stack the credits to shop in-game. There’s a bunch of different ways to get them, so let’s break it all down.

Playing Game Modes

You can get Kingdom Credits by playing any of the different game modes, including Competitive, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, etc. Here is a complete breakdown of the KC system in the game.

Game Modes Round Won Rounds Played Match Completed
Unrated 4 KC 2 KC
Competitive 4 KC 2 KC
Swiftplay 4 KC 2 KC
Premier 4 KC 2 KC
Spike Rush 20 KC
Escalation 15 KC
Team Deathmatch 20 KC
Deathmatch (FFA) 15 KC

Note: The rewards for rounds played and rounds won don’t stack.

Completing Dailies

The revamped daily missions are also worth completing. In the menu, you will now see four checkpoints, each consisting of four charges. To complete these dailies, all you need to do is play rounds of various game modes. The progress is as follows: One round played in Unrated, Competitive, Swiftplay, or Premiere will grant you one point. For Team Deathmatch, Spike Rush, and Escalation, one match played is equivalent to two points.

To complete all four dailies, you will need to win 16 rounds in any of these game modes, play eight matches in these game modes, or a combination of both. Alternatively, you can just go about playing your daily routine games, which will automatically target most of the daily missions. Note if the game penalizes you in a match for disruptive behavior, Riot won’t rant you any KC for that match.

Another small method of getting KCs is by purchasing more items using them. You can get 2,000 KCs by for reaching reach tier 5 in the Agent Gear Store. You will have to purchase the previous tiers by using the Kingdom Credits you have.

Riot will grant all players 5000 KCs for free. You can use Kingdom Credits in various ways. You can buy Agent Gear using the credits including, agent-related banners, sprays, agent-specific skins, and more. Spending 8000 KCs will unlock an agent after their release recruitment event ends. Last but not least, using 2500-7500 (in denominations of 500) Kingdom Credits will get you cosmetics (excluding Weapon Skins) from the Accessory Store. These cosmetics are from the previous battle passes, allowing players to purchase content they missed from previous seasons for the very first time.

Valorant is available on PC.
