Fruits, fish, spices, mushrooms, and other food items are something you can gather to make delicious meals with many helpful effects. But if you want to brew a few potions or power up your weapons, you can’t do without monster parts like the Lynel Saber Horns. Luckily, the Lynel Saber Horns only drop from one Zelda Tears of the Kingdom monster, and today we’ll show you how to find it.
Where To Get Lynel Saber Horns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

As their name suggests, Lynel Saber Horns, you can get this material by defeating the Lynel mini-boss. You can meet the massive red-maned Lynel shortly after you start your journey in the western part of Central Hyrule. Defeating this enemy is not difficult, but remember that your best weapon is a dodge. Backflip during this boss’s attacks will allow you to defeat him without taking damage.
It is important to note that other types of this enemy, such as the Blue-Maned Lynel, White-Maned Lynel, and Silver Lynel, do not drop this material. On the other hand, defeating the standard Lynel will give you much more than Lynel Saber Horn:
- Lynel Saber Horn x1
- Lynel Mace Horn x1
- Lynel Hoof x1
- Arrow x10
Where To Find Lynel in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
As we said earlier, you will meet your first Lynel in the western part of Central Hyrule shortly after the adventure begins. Cross the Regencia River west of Hyrule Central and get to West Hyrule Plains to spot this monster walking peacefully through the clearing.
Luckily for players, Lynel respawns shortly after death. But if you don’t want to wait, you can also find this monster in the following locations:
- Gerudo Highlands. Head northeast of Lake Illumeni.
- Tabantha Frontier. Visit the rocky area east of Rito Village and Tama Pond.
- Deep Akkala. Go to the southern forest part north of the North Akkala Valley.
- Hyrule Depths. You’ll find one Lynel in Floating Coliseum and neat this point.

How To Use Lynel Saber Horns in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Once you have obtained some Lynel Saber Horns, you can use them in one of the following ways:
- Take a photo of the Lynel Saber Horn to add to the compendium. Otherwise, you have to buy this photo from Robbie for 100 Rupees.
- The Lynel Saber Horn has a special brewing effect (+40 seconds effect duration). You can add Lynel Saber Horn to the potion to increase the potion duration.
- You can also use the Lynel Saber Horn to fuse it with any weapon to increase its damage by 22.
- Finally, you will need Lynel Saber Horns to upgrade the Barbarian Armor Set.
