How To Get the Peak of the Mountain Unique in Last Epoch

It’s not a pretty helmet, but at least it’s OP.

When you score a Unique in Last Epoch, you more than likely want to keep a hold of it. These items offer incredible boosts and exclusive modifiers not found on standard gear. Instead, you need a Unique like the Peak of the Mountain to see more potent increases, but these items aren’t lying just anywhere in Last Epoch. To discover this Unique helmet, you must venture into one of the optional dungeons.

Peak of the Mountain is only available in one location: Lightless Arbor Dungeon. You can access this dungeon once you get to the Surface Zone, but each attempt at the dungeon requires a key.

So, before you can enjoy the Peak of the Mountain in Last Epoch, you need to take down some enemies. Although dungeon keys have a higher drop rate with Monolith of Fate bosses, that endgame content is not something everyone can do immediately. Instead, you can focus on defeating normal enemies until the loot drops.

Once you have access to the Lightless Arbor Last Epoch dungeon, you must defeat the Mountain Beneath boss for a chance to get the Peak of the Mountain helm. Again, it’s a chance. So, it may not drop when you defeat the boss. Thankfully, you can attempt the dungeon at any Tier, as the Unique item can drop no matter the difficulty. But if you feel prepared enough, try for Tier 4. It has the highest chance of dropping the Peak of the Mountain in Last Epoch.

Stats and Effects

When you get the Peak of the Mountain helm in Last Epoch, you can enjoy some solid modifiers. For one thing, it will increase your Critical Strike Chance anywhere from 240% to 290%, perfect for when you want your character nailing those harder hits.

There is the negative effect that prevents you from leeching health from Critical Strikes, but it’s such a minor inconvenience that it won’t negate how useful the helm is. The Unique helm also boosts all of your attributes anywhere from +2 to +5. It seems small, but any stat boost is worth it. Once you equip the Peak of the Mountain, you should promptly notice the difference in how well your build works.

Concerning build, the Peak of the Mountain works best when used with the right type of playstyle. If you have a heavy focus on wearing enemies down, then the helm will enhance whatever high-damage build you have.

Getting to the Lightless Arbor dungeon is the simplest task. You just have to worry about defeating the Last Epoch dungeon boss and hope that the Peak of the Mountain drops the first time (or the tenth time). Remember that death causes you to fail the dungeon, and you must find a key again to go through it once more.

Last Epoch is available on PC.
