Vault Keys play a huge role in the new game, Sonic Frontiers, as they’re required to get through the game’s story. Primarily, Vault Keys are used to unlock Chaos Emeralds. This is pretty important since Chaos Emeralds give you massive power boosts and allow you to take down Titans. However, regardless of their importance throughout the game, you are never really told how you can obtain Vault Keys. You will likely not understand how to get enough to make it through the game. Sonic Frontiers: How to Get Vault Keys
When you enter your game for the first time on Kronos Island, you’ll be instructed to save Amy. This is the first step to progressing your game, though. You’ll eventually need Vault Keys to get further in the story. This is where a lot of players will find themselves a bit clueless. There are loads of ways to get more Vault Keys, and I will outline them below.
Cyberspace for Sonic Frontiers Vault Keys
The Cyberspace mini-game is one of the best ways to obtain Vault Keys. You’ll have to clear the game for them to be given to you. There are four different missions you’ll have to clear:
- Find all of the red star rings
- Clear the mini-game with X rings
- Clear the mini-game with Rank S time
- Reach the mini-game’s goal
For each mission you complete, you will earn more Vault Keys. Meaning if you complete all four missions in each Cyberspace game, you’ll earn 4 Vault Keys.
Take Down Enemies
Enemies can be found all over the map in Sonic Frontiers, making them pretty easy to locate. Fighting them will actually give you all sorts of rewards, not just Vault Keys. Common drops for enemies are rings and Skill Pieces.
Though it’s possible for you to collect more important items like Vault Keys and Memory Tokens as well, so avoiding enemies may be a bad idea.
Dig for Buried Treasure
There are loads of treasures hidden throughout the massive map in Sonic Frontiers. One of these treasures is buried treasure that you can hunt down and dig up using your Cyloop ability. Typically, you will find rings, seeds, Memory Tokens, and gears, but there is a chance for you to pick up some Vault Keys as well. So, don’t pass these up!
