  1. Go to the location at Thundra Plateau.
  2. Chop some Mushroom Trees.
  3. Make the pillar.
  4. Wait until the afternoon.
  5. Connect the shadows of the north and south columns with the help of the pillar.

1. Going to the Location at Thundra Plateau

The exact location is shown on the above map. It is not very difficult to locate. You can start from Makurukis Shrine or Runakit Shrine and reach the Thundra Plateau easily. This is the first step of opening the Thundra Plateau Door in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

2. Chopping Some Mushroom Trees

You must chop around five Mushroom Trees to build the pillar you need. Use any sword or axe and chop them. The trees are fragile and will easily break when hit by a weapon. You can make a pillar from them to open the Thundra Plateau Door in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

3. Making the Pole

Once you have chopped the trees, it is time to make the pillar. Use your Ultrahand ability to make the pillar.

4. Waiting Until the Afternoon

You can connect the shadows of the south and north columns only between 12:00 to 13:00. So build a campfire and wait until the afternoon. This is an essential step for opening the Thundra Plateau Door in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

5. Connecting the Shadows of North and South Columns With the Help of the Pillar

Once it is afternoon, make sure you stand on the right. Position so that the shadows of both columns are visible. Then, locate the pillar straight on the ground so its shadow connects the shadows of the north and south columns. The door will open if done correctly, and you can go inside.
