Return to Moria takes place during the Fourth Age in Middle-Earth, meaning it is after the events of Return of the King. If you and your fellow dwarves enter the dark halls of Khazad-dûm, you’ll witness destroyed landscapes, skeletons, and several horrors. However, not all is doom and gloom; after all, you and others are tasked with restoring this place. Fixing certain things does more than provide you with a haven; some even give you rewards, like statues. Here, we’ll tell you how to restore statues in Return to Moria and what they are for.

You’ll need a few things to restore statues in Return to Moria. First and foremost, finding the statue, which, sadly for many, might be difficult, as they don’t have a set location due to the game being randomly generated for everyone. However, you might find a few statues in each zone. If you manage to spot one, here’s what you need to fix it:

  1. Craft an iron hammer from your inventory by pressing “C.”
  2. Gather ten stones.
  3. Head to the statue and press “E” to repair it.

Doing so will fix the statue, which, if at first seems underwhelming, it isn’t, and it’s one of the best ways to get recipes.

Restoring statues in Return to Moria gives you several recipes for weapons and armor. This is the only way to get some of the game’s rarest armor and weapon sets, meaning those eager to delve into the depths of this area need to make this their first priority. Here, we’ve listed some of the armor sets and weapons you can unlock:

  • Western Halls:
    • Iron Hills Armor
    • Iron Hills Gloves
    • Iron Hills War Axe
  • Elven Quarter:
    • Eregion Shield
