Before you can break into Sliro’s vault, you will need a crew filled with competent members. One of the people you can recruit is a Rodian named Gedeek Obaz, who you can find in Akiva in Star Wars Outlaws. Unfortunately, he has gotten into trouble with the Empire, and you have to save Kay’s old friend in the Droidsmith quest. Like many of her missions, you must be sneaky as you enter the Imperial base. This military building is quite large, and some players may get confused about how to reach the Rodian. However, there is one path that you can take to avoid detection.

To save Gedeek in The Droidsmith quest, you have to infiltrate a military base on the northwest side of Akiva’s map. This area is heavily guarded, and some droids are patrolling outside. To enter the camp, you need to find a vent on the west side of the building. One viper droid hangs around this section, so ensure you use the tall grasses as cover.

Once you are inside the walls, you can follow these steps:

  1. Take down the officer to your left and climb up the stairs.
  2. You will find two stormtroopers guarding this area.
  3. Order Nix to attack one and take down the other.
  4. Then, help Nix and knock out the other soldier.
  5. Climb up the ladder to your right and enter the vent.

After exiting the vent, you will be taken to an empty room. In the adjacent chamber, you can see two soldiers and three officers.

  1. Take down the two officers to your left.
  2. Ignore the two guards and the officer.
  3. Pass through the door to the left side of the guards.
  4. Take down the two troopers with Nix in the next room.
  5. Avoid the camera and enter the left chamber.
  6. Knock out the officer in the room.
  7. Access the computer to disable the camera.
  8. Enter the next chamber and stay on the left side.
  9. Take down the officers and enter the turbo-lift.

You may think that Gedeek should be near, but you are wrong. He is still much deeper inside the base. You can find a locked chest in the next room, and once you claim your reward, you can continue to progress to the Droidsmith quest.

  1. Enter the vent to your left and jump down.
  2. Use your hook to get down to the lower platform.
  3. Make your way to the next area using grates and railings.
  4. Enter another vent and drop down to an open area.

Now this is the part where some players may get stuck. Gedeek is just nearby, but you will need to disable this annoying turret. It will keep shooting at you, but the game doesn’t make it obvious as to where you should go next.

  1. Use the obstacles as covers and head left.
  2. Drop down and order Nix to power off the barrier.
  3. Use the lift and pull down the lever to bring the box.
  4. Order Nix to pull the lever again and jump on the box.
  5. Ensure you are not on the line of fire.
  6. Access the computer to deactivate the turret.
  7. Jump down to the open area and use the turbo-lift.

You have finally reached the workshop where Gedeek is being held in Star Wars Outlaws. There will be a cutscene where Kay and the Rodian have a reunion. Your next objective is to get out of the Imperial base and as usual, you need to shoot your way through to escape.
