This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

In Coral Island, there is a Music Puzzle that can be found in the ocean by diving. Diving is introduced early in the game, just a few days in. After cleaning up a few ocean sections, Ling will explain how you’re cleaning up the ocean and give you free rein to explore. In the first major section, there is a large clam statue with five buttons in front of it that play music when you step on them. There isn’t a hint near the music claw and playing different melodies doesn’t have any effect. While this might seem like a puzzle you need to solve, the answer is disappointing.

There Isn’t a Solution to the Music Puzzle in Coral Island (Yet)

At the moment, the Coral Island music puzzle isn’t a puzzle at all. This landmark, which isn’t labeled on the map, appears to just be a statue that plays music. There currently isn’t a solution to it and it doesn’t need to be interacted with to advance the ocean clean-up story. Fans have long speculated that this interactable object would become a full puzzle in a future update, but so far that hasn’t happened.

It’s also possible that the devs could leave the so-called music puzzle as just a quirky little mystery. Coral Island is already full of fun secrets for players to discover, and this melodious relic would fit perfectly. Being a cute distraction (and a way to tease the Merfolk after cleaning up the area) isn’t the worst fate. Perhaps in a future update the devs will develop the music puzzle in other ways or tie it to other mechanics. For now, it’s just an oddity.
