There is a peace between civilization and nature, but there is also a tension. Few games capture this the way Monster Hunter Wilds does. Fighting your way through a storm just to fight a towering lizard on a cragged mountaintop? That’s great. Walking away with new decorations to hone your weapons and hunting skills? That’s perfection. Capcom added a ton of decorations you can use to get your gear up to a standard befitting your princely Palico. Unlocking these powerful baubles will take some effort. With a bit of hunting, however, you’ll be living in luxury (more or less). Here’s how to unlock and get decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds Decoration Guide

Getting your performance settings just the way you’d like is only half the battle. You still need weapon skills worth wielding. Thankfully, Wilds has potent weapons and abilities to start your hunts off right. The basic way to get decorations is simple: complete hunts. The more hunts you do, the more decorations you’ll acquire as a reward. That’s not the only method, however. Here’s how to get decorations by recycling in Monster Hunter Wilds:
- The Melding Pot lets you recycle unwanted decorations to get new ones
- To unlock the Melding Pot, you need to reach the “Through the Dusk” quest and unlock Wyveria
- At camp, complete the cutscenes and speak with the Melding Pot NPC to access the pot
- You need four points to create a basic decoration (one decoration grants one point)
- You need to recycle four decorations to get a random one
Keep in mind that all decorations are random, and the rarer the decoration, the more points it will need. Although this can make getting a particular decoration time-consuming, it won’t be long before you’re overloaded with new buffs for your gear. With so many decorations to unlock in Monster Hunter Wilds, perfecting your loadout might be a lifetime’s work. However, that makes it a paradise for theory crafters and cozy completionists alike. Now we just need the secret to Seikret decor.
