How To Unlock The Warden Vault in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

After recruiting Taash as your last party member, you can return to Rivain to take new side quests and explore the area. One of the missions you can accept in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the Warden Vault quest. You can find this hidden vault underneath the abandoned Warden Castle. After ordering Taash to use her fire, you can find a skeleton that gives you a hint on how to unlock this secret treasure stash.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard The Warden Vault Quest Guide

To complete the Warden Vault quest in Dragon Age: The Veilgurd, you need to pull three secret levers located inside the castle. Two are quite easy to find, but one of them requires you to chase after a ghost. Here’s how you can find them all:

Lever 1

After you have found the Warden Vault, you need to return to the main hall and climb the ladder to the second floor. Then, you have to head outside and jump down outside. You will find a room blocked by some debris that you can destroy with regular attacks. On the right wall, you can see three torches that you need to light up.

Here is the correct order:

1. Left
2. Right
3. Center

Once all the torches are turned on, you can climb back to the second floor. You can not pull the first lever in the Warden Vault quest. After climbing the ladder, you can turn right to see another set of shield torches on fire. This lever will open the iron gate to your left, which contains a treasure chest and the first vault lever.

Lever 2

To find the second lever in the Warden Vault quest, you need to head outside and reach the Castle Bailey area. There will be some enemies here, so you need to clear them out first. Once it’s safe, look up to the western section and order Taash to detonate the barrel to drop down a ladder.

Your goal is to grab the Wisp on the second floor, but I recommend continuing to explore the second floor since you can grab the large treasure chest in Castle Bailey. Once you obtain the Wisp, you can follow this direction:

1. Jump down to the first floor.
2. Enter the castle and turn left.
3. Order Taash to melt the crystals.
4. Transfer the Wisp to the skeleton.
5. Head inside to find the second lever.

Lever 3

The third lever is the hardest in the Warden Vault quest. You need to awaken several ghosts inside the castle. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Return to the main hall in the Warden Castle.
2. Enter the open door to your right before the knight statue.
3. Investigate the glowing skeleton to summon the first ghost.

4. Return to the main hall and climb up the ladder.
5. Head outside and jump down to the first floor.
6. Look to your left to see the second skeleton.

7. Climb down the stairs and pass through the entrance.
8. Keep walking until you see two entrances and turn right.
9. On the southeastern corner, you can find the third ghost.

You can return to the main hall to meet the last ghost. It will open a secret room containing the last vault lever. Finally, you can head to the basement and complete the Warden Vault quest.
